Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Côte Vori (“Côte Vori,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms govern your use of our website. “You” means the individual or organization using the website. If you enter into an agreement on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Website Use and Acceptance
Please read these Terms before using our website. By using the website, you acknowledge these Terms. Where we request your express acceptance, accepting these Terms signifies your agreement to them.
You may use this website to learn about our services, review our work, and contact us about potential projects. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
The website does not itself create a client relationship or authorize Côte Vori to act on your behalf.
3. Publicity Services and Written Agreements
Côte Vori provides publicity and communications services. Website descriptions, examples, and general discussions are informational and do not constitute a binding offer.
A client relationship begins only when both parties accept a written service agreement. Services are limited to the scope stated in that agreement.
The client agreement will address applicable deliverables, fees, expenses, payment schedules, timelines, approvals, confidentiality, cancellation, ownership, and other project requirements. If it conflicts with these website Terms, the client agreement controls for that project.
Additional services or changes to the agreed scope require written agreement. An inquiry or proposal does not reserve availability unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing.
4. Fees, Expenses, and Cancellation
Fees, deposits, retainers, payment deadlines, authorized expenses, refund eligibility, and cancellation obligations are governed by the applicable client agreement.
These website Terms do not authorize automatic renewals or recurring charges. Any recurring payment arrangement must be separately agreed.
Third-party costs, including advertising, distribution, review platforms, production, travel, or event expenses, must be handled according to the client agreement.
5. Publicity Outcomes and Editorial Independence
Publicity involves independent decisions by journalists, editors, reviewers, influencers, publishers, event organizers, and other third parties.
Côte Vori does not guarantee media placements, interviews, publication dates, favorable coverage, reviews, audience growth, sales, revenue, or other particular results.
Expressions of interest by a third party are not confirmed placements. A planned interview, feature, review, or event may be postponed, changed, or canceled by the third party.
We do not control independent reporting, review ratings, editorial wording, headlines, publication schedules, or whether a publication accepts a requested correction.
Portfolio examples, testimonials, and previous campaign results illustrate past work and do not promise comparable outcomes.
6. Client Information, Cooperation, and Approvals
Clients are responsible for supplying accurate, complete, and timely information and materials, and for identifying any restrictions on their use.
Clients must have the rights and permissions necessary for the materials they provide, including text, manuscripts, photographs, artwork, logos, quotations, testimonials, and personal information.
Clients should promptly notify us of inaccuracies, changes, or circumstances that could affect a campaign.
Approval procedures and response deadlines will be established in the client agreement. Silence does not constitute approval unless that agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Missing materials, delayed approvals, or changes in instructions may affect schedules, deliverables, and opportunities. Any resulting adjustments will be handled under the client agreement.
7. Honest Reviews and Endorsements
Côte Vori does not create or procure fabricated reviews, false testimonials, or knowingly misleading publicity claims.
Reviews and endorsements must reflect genuine opinions and experiences. Paid partnerships, gifted products, and other material connections must be disclosed where required by applicable law and platform rules.
Providing a review copy, contacting a reviewer, or arranging an introduction does not guarantee a review or favorable response.
8. Inquiries and Confidential Submissions
Please provide only the information reasonably necessary for an initial inquiry. Do not submit confidential manuscripts, sensitive personal information, passwords, or materials subject to third-party confidentiality obligations through a general inquiry form.
Submitting an inquiry does not create a nondisclosure agreement. Confidential exchanges should take place through a method and arrangement agreed with Côte Vori.
You retain ownership of materials submitted with an inquiry. You permit us to review those materials and use them as reasonably necessary to evaluate and respond to your request. Submission alone does not authorize us to publish them or use them in our portfolio.
9. Intellectual Property
Website text, designs, graphics, photographs, logos, and other content belong to Côte Vori or their respective rights holders.
You may browse the website and share links to its pages. Except as permitted by law or authorized by the relevant rights holder, you may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit website content.
Access to the website does not transfer intellectual property rights or imply permission to use Côte Vori’s branding, client names, or third-party logos to suggest an affiliation or endorsement.
Ownership and permitted use of commissioned work, campaign materials, preexisting tools, and client materials are governed by the client agreement. Portfolio use of client materials requires an appropriate permission or other lawful basis.
For copyright concerns, contact us with the relevant page address, a description of the protected work, the basis of your claim, and your contact information.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use the website to:
Submit unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing material.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority.
Send spam, malicious code, or deceptive messages.
Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or information.
Interfere with the website’s security or operation.
Collect personal information from the website for unlawful purposes.
We may restrict website access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, comply with law, or protect security. Termination of paid client services remains governed by the applicable client agreement.
11. Squarespace and Third-Party Resources
This website is hosted on Squarespace. Third-party features and services may be subject to their providers’ applicable terms and policies.
The website may include links to publications, client websites, social platforms, and other external resources. A link does not, by itself, indicate endorsement or a business relationship.
Côte Vori does not control third-party content, editorial decisions, security practices, availability, or changes to services. Third-party outages and platform changes may affect website features.
Any third-party services or expenses arranged for a client project are governed by the client agreement and applicable provider terms.
12. Website Disclaimers
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website information, but errors, omissions, and outdated information may occur. Service descriptions and availability may change.
To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties concerning accuracy, uninterrupted access, freedom from technical errors, or suitability for a particular purpose.
General information on this website is not legal, tax, financial, or other regulated professional advice.
These website disclaimers do not replace our express obligations under a signed client agreement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Côte Vori will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, including lost profits or lost business opportunities.
This provision does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.
Liability relating to paid publicity services is governed by the applicable client agreement. These Terms do not establish a separate liability cap for those services.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Changes apply prospectively to website use after they are posted, subject to applicable notice and acceptance requirements.
Website updates do not automatically modify an existing client agreement. Amendments to that agreement must follow its own amendment provisions.
15. General Provisions
These Terms concern website use and do not replace a signed client agreement, confidentiality agreement, or other separate written agreement.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or other protections that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
